The purpose of the Deacon Ministry is to assist the pastor in spiritual matters of his work. The Deacon Ministry is committed to each individual and family of New Hope. The deacons strive to make certain each member and their respective families receive the love and support of the congregation.
The Deacon Ministry is dedicated to visiting our sick and shut-in members praying for them and encouraging them. They also provide communion to the sick and shut-in and their caregivers every 1st Sunday. When a church member experiences the loss of a family member, the deacons are there to encourage and pray for the family.

The Trustee Ministry handles all business affairs of the church. This ministry directly supervises all properties of New Hope. Current properties include the mission house, parking lots, musical equipment, church vehicles, sanctuary, daycare and preschool buildings (West End and South Avondale), Family Life Center, and property owned by the church.
The Trustees hold in trust all financial affairs and properties of the church and are responsible for taking necessary measures for the protection of such affairs and properties. Members of the Trustee Ministry are elected by a majority of the church members present and voting at the annual meeting.

The Economic Development Ministry was established to promote the principles of economic empowerment, independence, entrepreneurial spirit, business development and management through networking, information sharing and business functions. This ministry seeks to reach, teach, and inspire the African American community to invest in and support one another.
The Economic Development has sponsored business fairs, financial planning seminars, housing seminars, and estate planning seminars.
