The Women’s Mission Ministry is a ministry designed to bring
women together in Christian love and fellowship. It is a
ministry of ladies whose heart is to serve others with
compassion, promote spiritual growth and encourage other
women in their walk with the Lord. It is an opportunity for
friendships to develop between women in the congregation,
build personal relationships with Jesus Christ and lead women
to Christ. Our ministry is made up of several ministries:
Deaconess, Golden Age Club, Health and Nurses, Woman To
Woman Fellowship and Breast Cancer ministry.

I Timothy 3:11, KJV: “Even so must their wives be grave, not slanderers, sober, faithful in all things.”
The Deaconess and Minister’s Wives Ministry assists the Pastor by working with the Deacons and ministering to the needs of the overall congregation – women, children and those in need, with loving kindness and compassion. We are committed to serving God, and all mankind, as the Holy Spirit directs. The ministry participates in visits to the sick and helps those in need. We prepare candidates for baptism, prepare holy communion and participate in church activities when called upon. We study God’s Word and apply it to daily life. We are also a ministry that helps our seniors and widows. We facilitate annual church and community activities including Pioneers Day, the winter Sock, Hat, Gloves and Scarves giveaway and the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday food distributions. We also provide scholarships to our eligible high school graduates and those attending college.
The Golden Age Club focuses on the heritage and traditions of senior members of New Hope. The club plans appropriate celebrations of special days and occasions. These events include holiday celebrations, field trips, birthday celebrations, and luncheons held on the second Sunday of every month.
Woman to Woman Fellowship is a ministry designed to cater to the spiritual needs of a woman. Our goal is to provide fellowship and Bible based learning opportunities in all areas relating to a woman’s relationship with God, her family, and her community. Expect empowering and fun events that will build a bond with other women (young and old). These events include Bible Studies, Quarterly Potlucks, Hat Sunday, Women’s Retreat and Soul Food Sunday. Events also include Mother, Daughter & Son Brunch, Serve Day(serving at Women’s Homeless Shelters), Single Mother’s Symposium, Female Lock-In, Women’s Conference, Shopping Trips and more.
The Health & Nurses Ministry are a group of members who are experienced in healthcare and attending to the needs of others. They are dedicated to inspiring Christian living through informative, insightful and spiritual information. The ministry focuses on health issues that address the needs of the whole person: emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. Serving the church congregation and the community the Health & Nurses Ministry offers programs that promote awareness of diseases prevalent in the African American community identifies community resources available. Educational programs are also provided on health- related issues through health fairs, health screenings, and workshops.
